Canary Nungwi Hotel & Free SPA is gelegen in Nungwi, op 4 minuten lopen van Nungwi Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een fitnesscentrum, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. De service was fantastisch en iedereen is vrolijk en probeert alles om je te helpen! Zelfs toen we niet in een kamer konden (na het uit checken) ivm met de vlucht konden we nog een suite in om te douchen vlak voor ons vertrek. Een aanrader voor iedereen!!

Zanzibella Hotel & SPA ligt in Kiwengwa, op 41 km van Peace Memorial Museum, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. The hotel, the rooms, and all facilities were absolutely stunning, clean and well maintained. The pool alongside the bar as well as all the amenities on the beach are super pleasant. The breakfast selection is amazing with a lot of choice and variety. It is true there are quite some flies on the outside tables downstairs in the morning, but no problem at all upstairs or inside (and nothing much the hotel or anyone can do about flies in this type of climate and environment!). The restaurant has a great set menu as well as new daily offers every day. The food quality was great. I could recommend to get the half or full board deal as there aren’t a lot of places to go eat around the hotel - and the choice at the hotel is great. The hotel offers multiple guided tours which can be easily booked from one day to another, as well as free bikes and paddle board rentals which we very much enjoyed. They also organize different events / shows every few evenings (African Dancers, Maasai show, local band..) - amazing ! Finally the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, and made the stay so enjoyable until the end! I would absolutely recommend Zanzibella to anyone travelling to Kiwengwa and wanting to enjoy some peaceful relaxing time at the beach :)

Babalao Bungalows heeft gratis fietsen, een buitenzwembad, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge in Nungwi. De accommodatie heeft een restaurant en heeft ook een terras en een bar. We werden gelijk heel open ontvangen. De eigenaren lieten ons voor de check in al genieten van een prosecco bij het zwembad. De kamer was heel snel klaar. Hele schone kamer en hele fijne plek om te zijn. Er hangt een super relaxte sfeer, geen grootschalige toeristische plek. Zwembad is heerlijk met fijne bedden. Verder is het personeel super toegankelijk en wil alles zo snel mogelijk regelen. Ook voor trips of verdere vragen omtrent het verblijf in Zanzibar kan je de eigenaren appen en krijg je direct antwoord. In het echt is de plek nog beter dan op de foto’s. Zou het echt aanraden en zeker hiernaar terug gaan. Heel erg bedankt voor het fijne verblijf.

Machli Zanzibar is gelegen in Paje, Zanzibar, en beschikt over een privéstrand, een buitenbad dat het hele jaar door geopend is en gratis WiFi. The biggest 2 trumps of Mahali Zanzibar were the location and most importantly, the people! Firstly, it's located in the middle of everything, right on the beach and in the middle of Paje beach overlooking the ocean, just a few min walk away from the little market and grocery store. Secondly, the staff in Mahali - every single one of them was such a sweetheart! They were very welcoming and so personal and that in the most positive meaning of this word. People were always smiley, positive and always ready to help whenever you needed it. What's more, the place itself is really nice and clean as well and as I already said it had a nice view over the beach. The room was super spacious. They made our beds, changed towels and cleaned the room every day. This is all really nice! However, more of a luxury. We would have been totally fine with the same towels since it would be better to save water :D But all in all I don't whine.. The only thing that was little funny, not that it was something I did not like, but I was not used to this, was the breakfast. The food itself was delicious and you were able to order literally everything you wanted from the menu, but the way it was organised was strange. We knew that the breakfast was included in the stay, but they did not explain how does it work, if I was able to order a specific amount of items from the menu or there was no limit. Maybe this is something I would recommend them to rethink or at least explain to guests. After we understood though, we just ordered almost everything from the menu every morning. Just the first interaction with the staff at the breakfast table was funny. :)

Be Zanzibar Boutique Hotel is een accommodatie met 5 sterren tegenover het strand in Mfumbwi met heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin en een terras. We had a wonderful stay at Be Zanzibar. Everything exceeded expectations! The owner, who is an architect, thought of every detail and curated a beautiful experience merging his experiences in Mexico and Dubai! They have multiple water sports you can do for free (clear kayak, paddle board, water bikes, etc.), and a dhow if you want to go snorkeling. The food at the restaurant, Casa Coco, was the cherry on top…great selection to choose from and the best Thai fried rice we have had at a non-Thai restaurant. Many thanks to Tarek, Alé, Yahya, and the whole Be Zanzibar family. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back again soon!

Baobab Africa Lodge Zanzibar is gelegen in Mtende, op 35 km van Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. I travelled with my kids and to be honest this place did not feel like a lodge or hotel, it felt like home away from home. Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.

TIANDE Boutique Hotel ligt in Pwani Mchangani, op 3 minuten lopen van Pwani Mchangani-strand, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.
